Who we are

Providence Heart and Vascular Institute is composed of highly skilled physicians and surgeons, including more than 80 cardiologists; cardiothoracic surgeons; vascular surgeons and specialists; and interventional radiologists, along with hundreds of specialized nurses, technologists, scientists, and administrative and support staff.

The institute is the largest provider of cardiovascular services in Oregon. Each year more than 13,000 patients benefit from PHVI’s latest advances in prevention, diagnosis, research and treatment.

Through clinical research trials, patients here also have access to many new therapies before they become widely available in the United States. PHVI treats patients from across the state and southwest Washington. Large numbers of patients with acute MIs or stroke receive treatment here, including those transferred from surrounding areas such as Seaside, Tillamook, Astoria, Newberg, McMinnville, Hood River, The Dalles, and Longview and Kelso in Washington.
