Clinical research at the Franz Cancer Research Center in the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute at Providence Cancer Center is conducted under the leadership of Walter J. Urba, M.D., Ph.D.; and his colleagues at Providence Cancer Center Oncology and Hematology Care Clinics.

These medical providers are board-certified medical oncologists and members of Columbia River Oncology Program, which participates in national clinical trials of the Southwest Oncology Group, the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project, the Gynecological Oncology Group and the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group.
